Donnelly Mechanical announced today that it will be installing an advanced HVAC system for two full tenant floors at the Bank of America Tower. The HVAC system will be a factor in the building’s quest to achieve LEED Platinum certification, a rare feat for an office tower.

LEED certification is a standardized benchmark established by the U.S. Green Building Council for measuring the environmental sensitivity of construction projects. Buildings accumulate points by meeting various criteria, garnering them a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Certified status, depending on the number of points they achieve.

The Bank of America Tower project, managed by Jones Lang LaSalle, is New York City’s highest-profile LEED construction project to date.
