Donnelly Mechanical is Awarded Additional Green Construction Project at Bank of America Tower
Donnelly Mechanical was awarded a contract to install HVAC systems on two tenant floors of the Bank of America Tower. This is an expansion of Donnelly’s relationship with Bank of America. Earlier in the year, Donnelly completed two tenant floor HVAC installations. The installed systems will be a factor in the building’s quest to achieve LEED Platinum certification, a rare feat for an office tower.
LEED certification is a standardized benchmark established by the US Green Building Council for measuring the environmental sensitivity of construction projects. Buildings accumulate points by meeting various criteria, garnering them a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Certified status, depending on the number of points they achieve. The Bank of America Tower project, managed by Jones Lang LaSalle, is New York City’s largest and highest-profile LEED construction project to date. |
